In this week's Sprouts, young people interview two high-profile Indigenous personalities:
Buffy Sainte-Marie - iconic singer-songwriter in the international music scene. She is also an accomplished visual artist, scholar, and social activist for Aboriginal issues.
Angaangaq Angakkorsuaq -Eskimo-Kalaallit Elder whose family belongs to the traditional healers of the Far North in Greenland. He is a highly esteemed Elder of the Canadian-based Four Worlds International Institute for Human and Community Development, the American Indian Institute Traditional Circle of Indian Elders and Youth, the World Council of Elders and the World Commission on Global Consciousness and Spirituality, acting as a liaison to indigenous tribes.
The youth reporters are from International Children's Radio based in Germany - Radijojo’s „Across the Ocean.“ The award-winning Children's International radio network is a youth-based radio production program internationally connecting children, schools, and families.

Niamh, Pascal and Cosima with caught up with Ms. Sainte-Marie at her first and only concert in Berlin to interview her about her life, music, artwork, activism, and mission; as well as her teaching activities about aboriginal issues in the US, Canada and around the world.
Next in the show, youth reporters Jonathan, Mimai and Mina in Berlin meet with Angaangaq Angakkorsuag for a rare and heartwarming interview to discuss his role as an Elder and a shaman, on the Inuit diet, on climate change, and his spiritual approach to life as an internationally respected Elder of the Native Communities of the Circumpolar Arctic, North and South America and Europe.
